Business Development

TKT Education was founded in 2003 by Marion Cook, in recognition of the need for a professional education service that could provide economically, accreditation support expertise, risk management programs, education and training across all facets of the health care industry. Many small to medium health care facilities generally do not have access to this level of expertise.

For over 8 years TKT Education has been providing individualised consulting services in education and training for clients operating in the health care industry and the business has grown considerably to now encompass Courses, Conferences, Workshops and Seminars for health care professionals across a broad range of topics related to the health care industry - both clinical and administrative. TKT Education now provides these educational services from Darwin to Sydney, however TKT Education's focus still remains in South East Queensland with National Conferences taking place on the Gold Coast during 2012.

To further service the requirements of clients and to support the continued development of TKT Education, in 2009 Marion was joined in the business by partner Terry Cook. Terry brings to TKT Education, over 35 years of business organisation and marketing skills in Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) business.

  • Experienced in accreditation processes and the development of policy, procedures and guidelines to assist health facilities meet accreditation standards and risk management requirements. Systems rated at "benchmark standard" by Australian Council on Healthcare Standards
  • Development, implementation, evaluation and reporting of quality improvement processes to meet accreditation requirements
  • Advising on and coordinating clinical risk management strategies
  • Organisational education, training and human resource development for the acute hospital, aged care, community sectors including the Pelerman Group, Australian Hospital Care Limited, Mayne Health, Health Corporation of Australia, Nova Health and Healthscope Ltd. and many other facilities
